The Best Hotels Europe

Vienna is one of the oldest cities in Europe. In the historic center, the Innere Stadt (Unesco World Heritage), you walk along cobblestone streets to the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg Imperial Palace, the Maria am Gestade Church and the Vienna State Opera. Also downtown are the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Art History.
In the Kärntner Strasse, the Graben and the surrounding streets are luxury shops, art galleries and restaurants. The old center is surrounded by the Ringstrasse built on the old city walls.
West of the Innere Stadt are the trendier districts of Neubau and Spittelberg, with many museums, Biedermeier architecture and the large shopping street Mariahilfer Strasse. Here you’ll find the most budget accommodation.
The quiet and chic Josefstadt neighborhood is located east of the center and here you’ll find theaters, historic buildings, but also the Parliament building, City Hall, and the University of Vienna.
Leopoldstadt northwest of the center is the old Jewish quarter with the Karmelitermarkt food market and the largest park in Vienna, the Praterpark.
