The Best Hotels Europe

Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements and the lower the number the closer to the center (area around the Louvre and Notre Dame).
On the north side of the Seine are the Champs-Elysées, the Louvre, Center Pompidou, Place Vendome and the popular Le Marais neighborhood.
Further north you have Montmartre, located on a hill, with the beautiful Sacré-Cœur, from which you have beautiful views (especially with all the lights in the evening) of Paris. On the south side of the Seine you have St Germain (Musée d'Orsay), Latin Quarter (the Panthéon) and the Eiffel Tower. Just below these neighborhoods is Montparnasse.
But the slightly further arrondissements (such as Bastille, Belleville and around Montmartre) are also great places to stay. You experience more of the local atmosphere and Paris has a good metro system and most area's can be reached quickly.
